My professional career, starting as a catalog designer in 1979, then evolving into advertising from 1982 to 1989, as well as illustration, photography and teaching, ultimately led me to devote myself fully to painting in oil in 1994.

My artistic approach consists of capturing on the spot the elements that move me, then working on them in the workshop by highlighting the specific or general sources of emotion that I perceive. Sometimes, I bring together on the same canvas several elements observed in different places, because for me they represent archetypes constituting our common heritage.

Reality is my main source of inspiration, and my goal is to convey the truth of emotion through my works. For this, I opted for techniques that were as neutral and discreet as possible, which led me to explore and rediscover certain traditional knowledge, particularly among Dutch painters of the first period, concerning for example paint primers on wood. ,
cooked linseed oil colors and glazes.

I want my paintings to offer a pause, a microcosm, a poetic experience to each viewer.
These last few years have been rich in happiness for me, whether through painting, teaching, exhibitions
or meetings with a passionate and curious public.

I hope that the years to come will see these encounters multiply and my artistic work flourish further.
